Through our partnership, we have refined protocols and began safely welcoming new residents to our communities. Together, we remain committed to our associates, our residents and their loved ones as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

Understanding Dementia and Dealing with Distress

Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia present communication challenges for both the person with the disease and their caregivers. One of the most challenging types of communication is dealing with distress. Award-winning Occupational Therapist and Dementia Care Specialist, Heather McKay, will present this valuable program focused on helping caregivers respond effectively during periods of emotional distress and frustration.
