We will explore the underbelly of giving care in a safe, fun environment. By exploring things most people don’t dare talk about, we can identify what is dragging us down, ripping at our soul and making us feel less than when we are working so hard to be more than we ever have been. This process can help you find the peace, balance and joy you deserve in your life, not only when caring for another, but throughout your life.

  • Opportunities to ask for advice

Each support group member will receive a Grab & Go Activity Bag compliments of the ADRC and Artis Senior Living of Commack.

My Mom...the Fashionista!

My mom always dressed fashionably. Everyone admired how glamorous she was, but I couldnt believe it when Artis partnered with Macys to throw a community fashion show—with residents as the runway models! There was my mom, dressed in the latest styles, rolling down the red carpet. But the best thing she wore: a beaming smile. I could tell how proud and beautiful she felt about herself—and that meant the world to me. Artis gave that back to her. I’ve got a new set of photos to treasure!
